With the success in photo-studios of the FlexFrame models a considerable amount of professional studio photography is done every day with these products to a very high quality standard: measured on the screen, measured on the proof, and measured on the printed page.
Evaluating samples printed in offset at 150-line screen (300 dpi) is a good way to decide on the proper image resolution needed for your customers. The 6mio. pixel sensor of the FlexFrame 3020 delivers a 18 MB file (8 bit RGB color) in Single-shot mode, and up to 72 MB file non-interpolated (8 bit RGB color) in Micro-step mode.
The FlexFrame colors are exceptionally good. The products work with 16 bit color definition, allowing you to work with more than 65.000 shades of each of the primary colors. Photoshop version 6 can now import the full 16 bit files allowing for photofinishing based upon incredible image detail.
FlexColor capture software help you tailor with extreme accuracy the light and camera setup to achieve the effects you are looking for.
Noise is eliminated by the FlexFrame aluminium housing, by the active ventilation system, and by automatic power down between shots.
Single-shot quality is the only way to capture live subjects.
The FlexFrame Single-shot technology gives excellent results based upon advanced refining of the Single-shot data from the mosaic filtered sensor of the FlexFrame models.
With it's RAM buffer FlexFrame 3020 captures Single-shots with a burst rate of 1 shot every 2-3 seconds.
For stills work FlexFrame 3020 offers non-interpolated, true color capture based upon it's Multi-shot and Micro-step modes of operation. These modes are available based upon a unique technology of minute sensor movements combined with multiple exposures.
The resulting color detail is extremely accurate and problems with moiree are avoided. Therefore these modes are recommended for stills photography where the very highest quality is wanted.
Multi-shot delivers a non-interpolated 18MB file (8 bit RGB color). Micro-step delivers a non-interpolated 72MB file (8 bit RGB color).
Unique for the FlexFrame 3020 is the 3 modes of operation: Single-shot for live takes and Multi-shot and Micro-step modes for high end stills photography.
Single-shot mode is used for the capture of live subjects. Multi-shot and Micro-step mode is used to capture studio work with maximum resolution and true color accuracy. Minute piezo movements of the CCD-sensor achieve the true (non-interpolated) colors of the Multi-shot and Micro-step. Hereby moiree free images are captured and possible image errors from the use of a filter wheel are avoided.
